Created To Be Creative

Welcome to Achieve the Impossible Today! This is a blog on sharing my story with being born with a rare disease, Alpha Mannosidosis.

In this current season of life, the Lord is teaching me multiple things. All of these lessons honestly all tie in together. They are all interconnected. Today, I would like to share one of the many things He is teaching me right now. And that is… we were created by Him to be creative.

Do you see a man skillful in his work?

He will stand before kings;

he will not stand before obscure men.

Proverbs 22:29 ESV

It is so easy for us to become automated in this life. We are constantly surrounded by systems and programs. Rarely, we have the opportunity to just be. Once we reach a point of automation, we are in the same pattern of life and it can get quite hard to be the person that the Lord has created us to be. I’m not sure about you, but I have a desire to know the Lord and walk with Him in a way where I am using the gifts He has given me.

But How?

I truly believe that we were all created to be creative. We were made in His image and He created so many animals, the sunsets/sunrises, plants, etc. One may be gifted in baking while another might be gifted with videography or planning a party. All of these things require us to be creative in some way. Whatever it may be, the Lord placed specific gifts in each one of us to show His glory.

But what does this look like in real life? We are easily distracted by tasks we must get done within our days and never think about what it is the Lord has given us. For me, it is taking an hour out of two days in my week and spending time either painting or working on a sewing project. It’s also taking the time to see the beauty in all that we do and capturing it through a creative lens.

Ending Thoughts

Oh, Lord you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. You set me apart for such a time as this. You’ve woven in passion, justice, love, mercy, peace, and a sound mind in me. You created me to be a vessel for your kingdom. You placed gifts in my life. No matter what would come against me would be used for Your Glory. You are a good God and you sent Jesus for me. If my eternity was up to me, I would be in hell, but you sent your only son, so that I could be in relationship with You forever. I am ready. Send me. Use my gifts to proclaim the Gospel to a lost people. I love you Lord. Thank you for creating me.
